AMERICAN INDIAN FESTIVAL
Oka Kapassa, a special Native American gathering is held in Spring Park, Tuscumbia, Alabama to celebrate the culture and traditions of American Indians who once thrived here in north Alabama. The Gathering is a 2 day event. Friday is a day set aside for school children and is also open to the general public.

LIVING HISTORY AND EARLY LIFE PROGRAMS AT LAGRANGE
Living history programs and early tent encampment occurs throughout the year at LaGrange College Site Park



MUSCLE SHOALS STREET ROD FESTIVAL
Held the first weekend in June in Spring Park, Tuscumbia, this event is open to Street Rods 1948 and older. Enjoy seeing these classic cars, all makes and models.



MIRACLE WORKER PLAY
Twelve performances are held each summer on the grounds of the Helen Keller Home, Tuscumbia. Two-hour, broadway style play recounting the work of Anne Sullivan as she overcame communication barriers to deaf/blind Helen Keller.



HELEN KELLER FESTIVAL
Held annually, 4th week in June, this festival honors Helen Keller, America’s First Lady of Courage. Varied events include a parade, fine art and craft show, live outdoor concerts, history programs, tours, vintage car/truck show, sporting events, and "Keller Kids" educational program.

FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS
Enjoy several Independence Day Celebrations: The 4th of July Old Fashioned Walking Parade in Sheffield; Tuscumbia’s Independence Day Celebration; and, The Spirit of Freedom Celebration in Florence.

W. C. HANDY MUSIC FESTIVAL
Father of the Blues W. C. Handy is honored with a week-long festival annually in July. Live music events held in various locations throughout the Shoals area..



COON DOG LABOR DAY CELEBRATION
Held at the Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard in west Colbert County. This annual event celebrates the life of Troop, the first dog buried in 1937. Includes decorating the graves, live music, "liar’s contest," and barbecue.



TRAIL OF TEARS COMMEMORATIVE MOTORCYCLE RIDE
On the third Saturday in September, tens of thousands of motorcycles participate in the ride that commemorates the American Indians that were removed along the "Trail of Tears."




MUSCLE SHOALS MUSIC CITYFEST
This family event (held in October) includes vintage car/truck show, food concessions, children’s activities, and music all afternoon and evening with a well-known headline entertainer on the grounds of City Hall, Muscle Shoals.



PLANTATION CHRISTMAS AT BELLE MONT MANSION
Held the 1st Sunday in December, the event is reminiscent of the "Old South" with live decorations, hostesses in period dress, music, ballroom dancing, refreshments.



TREES OF CHIRSTMAS
Held at the Tennessee Valley Art Center in December, several live trees are decorated with a theme by groups and individuals.



SPRING PARK FOUNTAIN SHOW
51 jet water feature dances to lights & music. 30 to 40 minute show.

SHEFFIELD SPRING WALKING TOURS
Tour will include touring a historic church as well as the walk to the river bluff and return led by a historically knowledgeable guide.  A vehicle will be available for handicapped.
